Free 20 minute meeting
In the first instance, I offer a 20 minute phone conversation or video call at no charge. This is so we can initially speak, briefly discuss what you are looking for from therapy and, if you would like to proceed, arrange a first session.
Your first therapy session
Your first session is a chance for us to meet either in-person or online. We will start to explore what’s bringing you to therapy and what you hope to gain from it. You don’t need to prepare anything — we’ll take it at your pace.
If we decide to continue, we’ll agree on a regular weekly timeslot. Our sessions will take place on the same day of the week and at same time of day. It’s important for our work that we meet regularly and we will discuss this commitment. However, it’s also important to have holidays and we will discuss how this works as part of signing our counselling agreement, which we will sign together.
Sessions last 50 minutes, and take place either in-person at the Gestalt Centre (a short walk from King’s Cross St Pancras or Mornington Crescent/Camden Town) or online via Microsoft Teams or Google Meet.
Some clients come for a few months; others choose to stay longer as part of ongoing personal growth. We can review regularly to make sure the work continues to feel right for you. We will also discuss how we bring our work to a close when we come to the end of our time together.

In-person therapy

Online therapy

If you would prefer to meet online, we can meet either using Google Meet or Microsoft Teams. You will need to find a private space where you can speak freely, with access to stable wi-fi and good lighting.
